Missing the Friday prayer unintentionally
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 14241 )
Q 2: One day I went to the mosque on Friday after performing wudu, wearing my clothes, and applying perfume. The mosque was in a village that had no loudspeakers, and there was a grocery store there, so I sat in it for about 10 minutes. When I went to the mosque, I found that they had already prayed and left. Is there a sin on me for that?
A 2: If one misses Jumu'ah without intention, such as going to it and finding that they have already left the prayer, then if missing it is not his habit, we hope that Allah will forgive him. And if that happens to someone and then he repents, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful to whoever repents to Him and turns back. And whoever does not catch the second rak'ah of Jumu'ah does not catch Jumu'ah; and he prays it as four rak'ahs of Zuhr after its time has entered.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
