Prayer outside the mosque for a pressing need

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 20281 )
Q: I am the imam of a mosque, and there are many worshippers in the mosque, and the mosque does not have enough space for them, as it has become small, knowing that the mosque was renovated very recently in 1416 AH at the expense of the state, may Allah preserve and protect it. My question is: there are some worshippers who do not have a place in the mosque, and they pray in the adjacent street, and the rows in the mosque are not connected to the rows outside the mosque. Do we prevent the worshippers or not? May Allah preserve and protect you.
A : If the mosque becomes too narrow for the worshippers on Friday or any other day, there is no harm in them praying outside the mosque, on the condition that they see the imam or some of those behind him, and they hear the takbir so that they can follow the imam. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
