She purified herself from post-natal bleeding before the fortieth day, but she experienced a disturbance in the continuation of the bleeding

Fatwa number ( 14512 )
Q: I am a woman suffering from irregularity in my menstrual cycle . This happened because, twelve days after my delivery, my husband was involved in an accident that caused him serious injuries, and he was subsequently transferred to the hospital. When I learned what had happened to him, I was overcome with panic and fear for him, and my mental state was disturbed due to my fear for him and the excessive crying over him. I remained in this state throughout his stay in the hospital, which was in a critical condition for approximately 30 days. During this period, my mental state continued to worsen, to the point that I completed forty days after delivery without having purified myself. I also continued for 10 days in a state of non-purity, meaning that I completed 50 days until I purified myself from the post-natal bleeding. Please note that I am accustomed to purifying myself within twenty or twenty-five days, but due to this condition, I continued for fifty days. After the fifty days, I purified myself for approximately three days, then the blood returned and continued with me for about five days, then I purified myself for two or three days, then the blood returns to me
again, and so my cycle has become irregular, meaning that my period comes to me two or three times a month, and perhaps up to four times. I went to the hospital for treatment, but to no avail, and I have remained in this state of irregularity in my menstrual cycle for approximately five months. Please note that the blood that comes out is menstrual blood, and my prayers on those days have become very few; because when the blood comes to me, I refrain from praying until I purify myself. However, what has happened is that my days of purity are far fewer than the days I am in a state of non-purity. My question, dear father, is: What do I do in such a situation? Do I continue as I am, cutting off prayer on the days when I am not pure, and returning to it on the days of purity, or what do I do; because I am cutting off prayer for a long time and in intermittent periods? In my situation, if Ramadan catches me while I am in this state, what do I do? And may Allah reward you with good.

A : First: It is obligatory for you to make up the prayers for the ten days exceeding the forty. Second: In the future, you should leave off prayer on the days of your usual custom each month, and whatever is beyond that is irregular non-menstrual bleeding, with which you pray and fast
and you are lawful for your husband, because the blood is blood of corruption. Third: It is obligatory for you to make up the prayers for the days on which you left off prayer, provided they did not coincide with the days of your usual custom. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
