Q1: I gave birth one month before the arrival of Ramadan, and I purified myself from post-natal bleeding. When fasting, some yellowish drops of blood came out of me, and this was before the completion of forty days. Is it permissible to fast or not?
A1: If blood returns to a woman within the forty days after she has purified herself, the correct view is that it is post-natal bleeding. The woman does not pray or fast while it is present. After her purification is complete, she must make up the days she did not fast due to the post-natal bleeding that returned to her before the forty days were completed.
