Delay in the cessation of urination

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 16789 )
Q1: If a person has a disease in the urinary tract such that his urine does not stop until after 20 minutes, which causes him hardship, and he may miss the congregational prayer, is his ruling the same as the ruling for one who has incontinence?
A1 : One whose urine does not stop quickly due to a disease in the urinary tract should not hasten to perform wudu until his urine has finally stopped, then he should perform wudu and then pray; even if he misses the prayer with the congregation, he is excused; because Allah the Exalted said:
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[At-Taghabun 64:16]
, and he does not take the ruling of one who has permanent incontinence; because this urine stops, but its stopping is delayed, and he must also wash what the urine has affected on his body or his garment before prayer, and he must hasten to relieve himself at a time that allows him to get rid of the urine and catch the congregational prayer. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
