The Time of the End of Menstruation

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 20754 )
Q: My wife’s period stops on the eighth day, but what is called (purity) does not appear until the tenth or eleventh day. Is it permissible for her to pray or for her husband to have intercourse with her during that period, that is, from the date the blood stops until the purity appears, which may last two or three days?
A : The menstrual period does not end except with the presence of the sign of purity. If a woman sees the sign of purity, which is the complete cessation of blood such that she sees no yellowish discharge or
brownish discharge, or the appearance of the white fluid, she performs the full ritual bath and prays, and it becomes permissible for her husband to have intercourse with her. This is based on the saying of Allah (Mighty and Majestic):
And do not approach them until they are pure. And when they have purified themselves, then come to them from where Allah has ordained for you.
[Al-Baqarah 2:222]
. And based on the saying of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) to the women: (Do not hasten until you see the white fluid), and her meaning is: until you see complete purity. And one of the signs of purity is complete dryness, such that she sees nothing of the traces of blood, even if she does not see the white fluid. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
