A woman does not become pure from menstruation until she sees purity

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 16019 )
Q2: My wife took a full ritual bath for her monthly period on the first day of Ramadan, and she fasted before taking the bath. Is the fast for this day valid? Also, sometimes after she takes the bath, drops of blood come out of her. Is it obligatory for her to take the bath again?
A2: It is obligatory for a woman to take a full ritual bath from menstruation when the blood stops completely, such that she sees complete purity. As long as blood comes out of her, even if it is a little, she is considered menstruating, unless she reaches the maximum duration of menstruation, which is fifteen days. This is based on the statement of the Mother of the Believers, A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her): "Do not hasten until you see the white water." It was narrated by al-Bukhari . If a woman's blood stops and she fasts before taking the bath, her fast is valid, because purity is not a condition for the validity of fasting, and because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to fast while in a state of major ritual impurity and then take a bath. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
