Q1: A woman sees a brownish color after the menstrual blood has stopped, in a small spot and small amount, without seeing a sign of menstruation, and it may last for two days or more. What is required of her? Does she pray and fast, or does she wait until she sees complete dryness or the white thread?
A1 : If a woman is purified from her menstruation and sees some discharge after the purification and the sign of dryness or the white thread, she does not count it as menstruation; rather, its ruling is the ruling of urine. She must clean herself from it and perform the ritual ablution. This is something that happens to many women, and she proceeds in her state of purity by performing the prayers and fasting in Ramadan. It is authentically reported from Umm Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said:Sunan an-Nasa'i 368Sahih (Darussalam) It was narrated by Abu Dawud with a sound chain, and it was narrated by al-Bukhari but without her statement regarding after the purification.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
