Reading the Qur'an in a language other than Arabic

The sixth question of Fatwa number ( 16099 )
Q6: A friend of mine said: that whoever reads the Qur'an in English ,
his reading has no value. Is this correct?
A6 : Reading the Qur'an is not permissible except in the Arabic language in which it was revealed; indeed, it is not possible to read it in any other language; because it is a miracle and it is not possible to produce wording in other languages that matches its wording. There is no harm in translating its meanings for those who need to do so, and the translation is considered an interpretation (tafsir) for him. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
