Q 2: If a man follows a funeral procession to the cemetery and along the way loses the road leading to the cemetery, does he receive the reward of one who followed the funeral procession?
A 2 : Whoever intends to perform an act of obedience but is unable to do so, is recorded as having the reward of one who performed it, on account of his good intention. This includes one who goes to accompany a funeral procession but loses the way to the cemetery. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
