Q 2. What is the ruling on inserting the finger into the anus to remove what is inside during istinja' ?
A: It is not permissible to insert the finger into the anus in order to purify its interior; because this is an excessive effort that has been prohibited. What is obligatory is washing the exterior of the impurity, which is istinja'. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
