Q: What is the authenticity of the hadith: "The believers are sweet" ?
A: We do not know this wording to be an authentic hadith. Al-‘Ajiluni mentioned a similar wording, saying: "It has become widespread on the tongues: (The believers are sweet)." He also mentioned the phrase: (The believer is sweet and loves sweetness) as being fabricated. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
