Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 15677 )
Q: What are the scholars of hadith sciences' opinions regarding this athar: ( Rajab is Allah's month, Sha'ban is my month, and Ramadan is the month of my Ummah )? And what is the authenticity of the hadith: " O Allah, I complain to You of my weakness, my lack of resourcefulness, and my lowly status among people " the hadith?
A: First: The hadith: ( Rajab is Allah's month, Sha'ban is my month, and Ramadan is the month of my Ummah ) is a fabricated hadith, and in its chain of narration is Abu Bakr ibn al-Hasan al-Naqash , who is accused of fabrication, and al-Kisa'i is unknown, and the author of ( Al-Lala' fi al-Mawdu'at ) has cited it.
Second: The hadith:
O Allah, I complain to You of my weakness, my lack of resourcefulness, and my lowly status among people. O the Most Merciful of the merciful, to whom do You leave me? To an enemy who is arrogant toward me, or to a relative who has taken control of my affairs? If You are not angry with me, I do not care, but Your forgiveness is more encompassing for me. I seek refuge in the light of Your Face, by which the darknesses are illuminated and the affairs of this world and the Hereafter are set right, that Your anger be inflicted upon me, or that Your wrath befall me. Yours is the blame until You are pleased, and there is no power and no strength except by You.
This hadith is weak from the perspective of its chain of narration. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
