What is the authenticity of the hadith: “Rajab is Allah’s month, Sha'ban is my month, and Ramadan is the month of my Ummah”?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : We take a question from his questions. A colleague at work asked me about the authenticity of this hadith. Its text is: It was narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: “Rajab is Allah’s month, Sha'ban is my month, and Ramadan is the month of my Ummah”. What is the authenticity of this hadith? May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : This is a hadith that is not authentic from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). It is not permissible for a person to spread it among people, neither in writing nor in speech, unless the hadith is well-known among people and he wishes to speak about it and clarify that it is fabricated; in that case, it is good.
As for if it is not well-known among people, it is better to turn away from it so that it does not spread among people, while it is not authentic from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).

The questioner : May Allah bless you.
