Taking a polytheist to Makkah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: A man’s mother asked him to take her to Makkah to help her with the travel expenses to perform the 'Umrah. It is known that this mother slaughters for the jinn annually, and when he advises her against it, she says: “We found our fathers doing so.” She is ignorant, and he asked her to abandon shirk (associating partners with Allah) and take her, but she refused. Is it permissible for me to help her with the travel expenses in this situation, or is it forbidden for me to do so?
A: It is not permissible for you to take the aforementioned woman to perform 'Umrah, nor to help her with the expenses of 'Umrah, except after she repents to Allah and abandons shirk (associating partners with Allah); because slaughtering
for other than Allah is major shirk (associating partners with Allah), and the worship of a polytheist is not valid until he repents from shirk (associating partners with Allah). Allah the Exalted said:
But if they had associated others with Allah, then worthless for them would be whatever they were doing.وَلَوْ أَشْرَكُوا لَحَبِطَ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
[Al-An'am 6:88]
, and Allah the Exalted said:
indeed the polytheists are unclean, so let them not approach al-Masjid al-Haramإِنَّمَا الْمُشْرِكُونَ نَجَسٌ فَلاَ يَقْرَبُوا الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ
[At-Tawbah 9:28]
