Dutifulness to Disbelieving Parents

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fifth question of Fatwa No. ( 4461 )
Q5: How do we show dutifulness to our disbelieving parents after the separation of Muslims and disbelievers, and they remained among the disbelievers? Is it permissible for us to show them dutifulness while they are in their place among the disbelievers, or not?
A5: Show them dutifulness to the extent that is easy for you, even if they are in the lands of the disbelievers; due to the generality of the saying of Allah the Exalted:
But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them but accompany them in [this] world with appropriate kindness and follow the way of those who turn back to Meوَإِنْ جَاهَدَاكَ عَلَى أَنْ تُشْرِكَ بِي مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ فَلا تُطِعْهُمَا وَصَاحِبْهُمَا فِي الدُّنْيَا مَعْرُوفًا وَاتَّبِعْ سَبِيلَ مَنْ أَنَابَ إِلَيَّ
[Luqman 31:15]
the verse,
and other verses and general hadiths regarding dutifulness to parents. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
