A 1: Raising the hands with the additional takbirs in the prayer of the two festivals is recommended; whoever does it receives reward, and whoever leaves it out commits no sin. This is based on the statement of Wā’il ibn Ḥujr :Sahih Ibn Hibban 23:111 And so it is with the takbirs in the funeral prayer. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
