The Qunut in the Last Rak'ah of the Prayer of the Two Festivals
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The eighth question of Fatwa No. ( 17332 )
Q 8: Is it permissible to recite the Qunut in the last rak'ah of the prayer of the two festivals or not?
A 8: The Qunut is prescribed only in the Witr prayer or in the obligatory prayer if a calamity befalls the Muslims; because this is what is established from the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Qunut in response to calamities is permissible in all five prayers after rising from
bowing in the last rak'ah, and the most common practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was to do this in the Fajr prayer, meaning the Qunut in response to calamities. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
