If the imam stands on the pulpit for the sermon, is supplication recommended?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa number ( 16330 )
Q 3: If the imam stands on the pulpit for the sermon, is supplication recommended at this moment, or is it obligatory to listen to the imam?
A 3: It is obligatory to listen during the sermon; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded it. Supplication is prescribed while the imam is sitting on the pulpit, and likewise in prayer during prostration and at the end of the tashahhud before the taslim; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said when asked about the hour of response on Friday:
This hour is found during the period when the imam is seated (for giving Friday sermon) until the prayer is finished.هي ما بين أن يجلس الإمام إلى أن تقضى الصلاة
Sunan Abi Dawud 1049
It was narrated by Muslim in (Sahih) from the hadith of Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
