Praying while feeling the urge to urinate
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fifth question of Fatwa No. ( 21422 )
Q 5: On the day of 'Arafah , I entered Masjid Namirah and remained there until sunset. I was unable to leave to relieve myself of urine, which was very urgent, but due to the severe crowding, the fear of getting lost, and the distance to the restrooms,
I was unable to use the water, so I prayed the midday and afternoon prayers, and I recited the Qur'an and made supplication without being in a state of complete ritual purity. I feel some drops of urine coming out—may Allah protect you.
A 5: You must repeat the prayers you performed without ritual purity, along with repentance to Allah. If you were within the boundaries of 'Arafah that are inside the mosque, your Hajj is valid; otherwise, you have missed the Hajj, and your actions are converted to 'Umrah. You must make up the missed Hajj along with slaughtering the expiation mentioned. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
