Q 1: What is the meaning of the saying of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him):Jami` at-Tirmidhi 154Sahih (Darussalam) ?
A 1: This hadith is authentic and was narrated by the five [collections]. The meaning of isfar is:
that the day breaks and lightens. Qadi Iyadh (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The original meaning of isfar is clarity. It is said: from it, asfar and safar, meaning: pray it after its time becomes clear and the light of Fajr shines, and do not rush to pray it before Fajr becomes clear. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
