Missing the prayers in congregation due to work
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of fatwa number ( 18988 )
Q 1: There is a man who works in one of the companies every night, and his work is from ten at night until six or seven in the morning. So when he returns home, he sleeps and does not wake up until three or four in the afternoon, and sometimes until Maghrib. He misses the prayers in congregation, including the Friday prayer. Knowing that I wake him up for the prayers if I am present with him in the house, what is the ruling, O honorable Shaykh, in this matter? Please give us a ruling, may Allah reward you a thousand times for good?
A 1: If you are present with him in the house, it is obligatory for you to wake him up
and to advise him, call him to good, and guide him to sleep between the prayers. Do the things that help him wake up at the time of prayer, and explain the verses and hadiths that clarify the great reward and good ending that Allah has prepared for those who maintain the prayers with the Muslim congregation. Remind him of the severe warning and the bad outcome for those who neglect the prayer, are careless with it, or delay it past its time. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
