The ruling on one who sleeps and misses several prayers

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A message was sent from the city of Khobar by a listener, (E. H. H. K), who asks and says: If a person is sleeping due to illness, fatigue, or any other reason, and he misses one or two prayers, for example, he was sleeping after the midday prayer and woke up shortly before the night prayer, what should he do? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
It is obligatory for every believer to strive to perform the prayer in congregation with the Muslims at its proper time, and to make every effort to find the means, such as having a clock that indicates the time, or having someone from his family wake him up, along with going to bed early and not delaying. If he is overcome by sleep without his choice or intention, Allah excuses him, just as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
There is no remissness in sleepليس في النوم تفريط
Sunan Abi Dawud 441Sahih (Al-Albani)
If it is not due to negligence, and sleep overcomes him due to fatigue and illness, then it does not harm him. However, he must not be negligent by going to bed late, or by sleeping when the time for prayer arrives, or the like of that. He should sleep at the appropriate times, choose the appropriate times for sleep, and take the means of waking up, whether by a clock or by those who wake him, and he must not be negligent. And Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) is the One who knows the secrets, and nothing is hidden from Him. So if He, the Exalted, knows that the servant is striving and eager, but the matter overcame him, then he owes nothing
Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacityلا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا
[al-Baqarah:286]
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[al-Taghabun:16]. But the calamity is to be negligent, not to care, and to make excuses with false pretexts. This is the error. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
