The ruling on one who misses the Fajr congregation and some of the prayers

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He says: I am a young man committed to the Shari'ah of Allah, and I strive to follow the path of the righteous. However, there is a matter that worries me; I miss some of the obligatory prayers with the congregation, especially Fajr, so I pray at home. What should I do?

Answer:
It is obligatory for you to be cautious, for following the path of the righteous requires that you do everything that is obligatory upon you. This is the path of the righteous: that they strive to perform the obligatory acts, avoid the forbidden, and prayer in congregation is among the greatest of religious rites and among the greatest of obligations. It is not befitting for a student of knowledge to miss one of the five prayers, especially Fajr, for it is the most important of them regarding its specific time, and because the hypocrites leave it and it is heavy upon them. Therefore, the believer must be cautious of imitating the people of hypocrisy in all the prayers.
It is not permissible for you to let what you are doing in terms of connecting with your brothers occupy you from the congregational prayer. Rather, this is a major preoccupation. You must alert them to this, and you and they should be among the first, in the front of those heading to the mosques in the first row, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the Companions:
Come forward and follow my lead, and let those who come after you follow your lead.تقدَّموا فائتَمُّوا بي، وليَأْتَمَّ بكم مَن بعدكم
Sahih Muslim 438a
, he said:
And the man keeps delaying the prayer until Allah delays himولا يزال الرجلُ يتأخَّر عن الصلاة حتى يُؤخِّره الله
, and in the hadith of A'ishah:
Until Allah delays him in the Fireحتى يُؤخِّره الله في النار
.
The point is that you must strive to be among the first in Fajr and the other prayers, and not let any preoccupation distract you from that. And do not stay up late; if staying up late prevents you and distracts you, you must hasten to sleep and not stay up late.
