Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 17669 )
Q 2: There is a mosque near us that does not allow prayer for anyone who places his hands on his chest during prayer. Based on this, is it permissible to leave prayer in such a mosque and pray at home? Please inform us; may Allah reward you.
A 2: Placing the hands on the chest during the standing in prayer is a recommended practice (sunnah). It is permissible to leave it out, and the prayer is valid without it. It is not permissible for you to leave the congregation because of it.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
