Explaining the position of the hands while standing in prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q249: The questioner asks: What is the manner of placing the hands while standing in prayer?
A249: Placing the hands while standing in prayer, the sunnah (recommended practice) is to clasp the left hand with the right hand and place them on the chest. This is the sunnah
reported from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). It is not established that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) let his hands hang down while standing. This is among the sunnahs of prayer; clasping the hands on the chest while standing is a sunnah of prayer and following the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The one who lets his hands hang down is leaving this sunnah and this virtue.
