The second question of Fatwa No. ( 18734 )
Q 2: What is the degree of authenticity of the two hadiths: . And the hadith: Musannaf Abd al-Razzaq 16:122 ?
A 2: The hadith narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in the wording: is part of a long hadith narrated by Abu Ya'la and al-Tabarani from Abu Hurayrah with a chain containing Khalid ibn Isma'il al-Makhzumi , who is abandoned (as a narrator). They also have a chain containing weakness from 'Atiyyah ibn Bashr al-Mazini traced to the Prophet. And Ibn al-Jawzi included it in (Al-Mawdu'at) and al-'Uqayli narrated it in (Al-Du'afa'). Ibn Manda said: In its chain is Mu'awiyyah ibn Yahya who is weak, and Baqiyah ibn al-Walid and Muslim ibn al-Walid are concealers of defects (mudallis). The Hafiz said in (Al-Isabah): The hadith has various routes, none of which is free from weakness. As for the hadith: Musannaf Abd al-Razzaq 16:122 Ibn Ma'in said: It was narrated by al-Tabarani in (Al-Awsat) and (Al-Kabir),
and its chain is mursal (missing the Companion link) and hasan (good). And al-Mundhiri said in (Al-Targhib wa al-Tarhib): It was narrated by al-Tabarani with a hasan (good) chain and by al-Bayhaqi , and it is mursal (missing the Companion link). And Ibn Hajar said in (Al-Fath): It was narrated by al-Darimi and al-Bayhaqi from the hadith of Ibn Abi Najih , and he affirmed that it is mursal (missing the Companion link), and al-Baghawi included it in (Ma'jam al-Sahabah). The mursal (missing the Companion link) is in the category of the weak hadith, so it is not used as evidence. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
