The first question of fatwa number ( 16316 )
Q1: What is your opinion regarding this hadith, how authentic is it, is it to be acted upon, and is it a proof for one who holds to it and acts in accordance with it? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever says three times in the morning: "He is Allah, there is no god but He, the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed. He is the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy. (22) He is Allah, there is no god but He, the King, the Holy, the Peace, the Faithful, the Guardian, the Mighty, the Compeller, the Supreme. Glory be to Allah from what they associate. (23) He is Allah, the Creator, the Originator, the Fashioner. To Him belong the best names. Those in the heavens and the earth glorify Him, and He is the Mighty, the Wise." Allah assigns to him seventy thousand angels who pray for him until evening, and if he dies that day, he dies a martyr.

Vol. 1: Al-Shawkani said in (Tuhfat al-Dhakirin): It was narrated by al-Tirmidhi , and he said after narrating it: "A good, strange hadith; we do not know it except from this route." It was also narrated by al-Darimi and Ibn al-Sunni . Al-Nawawi said: "With a weak chain of narration." It was also narrated by Imam Ahmad in (al-Musnad). Its chain is weak, as al-Nawawi said; because in its chain is Khalid ibn Tahlam , who became confused in his old age, and in its chain is also Nafi' ibn Abi Nafi' , whose case was confused for a group of scholars, and it was said that he is Nafi' al-A'ma , who is abandoned, as in (al-Taqrib). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
