The Hadith: "Do Not Declare Me Your Master"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 14607 )
Q 2: Is therea hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): "Do not call me master"Is it authentic or weak? And does the hadith: "I am the master of the children of Adam" make the previous hadith weak? What are the methods of tracing these two hadiths if they are authentic? And is it permissible to call the Messenger master in the adhan or the tashahhud?
A 2: The hadith: "Do not declare me your master," which the common people pronounce as "Do not declare me your master," has no basis, as transmitted by the author of Kashf al-Khafa. As for the hadith:
I am the master of the children of Adam on the Day of Judgement, and I am not boasting.أنا سيد ولد آدم يوم القيامة ولا فخر
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3615Hasan (Darussalam)
it is part of a long hadith narrated by the Imam al-Tirmidhi from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri , and he said: It is a good, authentic hadith. As for declaring the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) as master in other than the adhan, iqamah, and prayer, it is permissible due to the aforementioned hadith. As for in the adhan, iqamah, and the tashahhud in prayer, one should say only what has come in the Sunnah and not add to what is prescribed; because the adhan and iqamah
and prayer are acts of worship, and worship is based on restriction, so one should limit oneself to what the evidence has come with. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
