The second question of Fatwa No. ( 10637 )
Q 2: A - I ask about the authenticity of the noble hadith: " My earth and my sky do not contain Me, but the heart of My believing servant contains Me "?
B - From Abu Sa'id he said: .
A 2: A - The Shaykh Isma'il ibn Muhammad al-'Ajluni said in (Volume 2 of Kashf al-Khafa wa Muzil al-Ilbas): (It is mentioned in al-Ihya with the wording: Allah said: My sky and My earth did not contain Me, but the heart of My believing, soft, and humble servant contained Me. Al-Iraqi said in
Its tracing: I have not found a source for it, and he agreed with it in (al-Durar) following al-Zarkashi , then al-Iraqi said: And in the hadith of Abu 'Utbah in the collection of al-Tabarani , after his statement: "And the vessels of your Lord are the hearts of His righteous servants, and the most beloved of them to Him are the softest and most tender." End of quote. And Ibn Taymiyyah said: It is mentioned in the Isra'iliyyat, and it has no known chain of narration from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). And he said in (al-Maqasid), following his Shaykh in (al-Lala'): It has no known chain of narration from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and its meaning is: His heart was spacious with faith in Me, love of Me, and knowledge of Me. Otherwise, whoever says that Allah dwells in the hearts of people is more disbelieving than the Christians , who restricted that to Jesus alone. And it seems he indicated by what is in the Isra'iliyyat that Ahmad narrated it in (al-Zuhd) from Wahb ibn Munabbih , who said: Allah opened the heavens for Ezekiel until he looked at the Throne, and then Ezekiel said: Glory to You, how great You are, O Lord. So Allah said: The heavens and the earth are weak to contain Me, but the heart of My believing, humble, and gentle servant contains Me. And it was transmitted from the handwriting of al-Zarkashi that some scholars said: It is a fabricated hadith, and it is from the fabrications of the materialists. Most of the time, it is narrated by the theologian to the heads of the common people, 'Ali ibn Wafa , for purposes he pursues, and he says during ecstasy and dancing: "Circle the house of your Lord." B - al-Dhahabi said, after mentioning the hadith in his summary of hadiths
of (al-Mustadrak): In its chain is Abu Harun al-'Abdi , and he is rejected. And Abu Zur'ah and Abu Hatim said: The hadith is weak. And al-Nasa'i said: The hadith is abandoned. And al-Jawzajani said: A liar and fabricator, and his name is 'Ammarah ibn Juwaydah . And Ibn Ma'in said: He was not trustworthy and used to lie. And Ibn 'Ulayyah said: He used to lie. And 'Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah said: He was a liar. And Ibn 'Abd al-Barr said: They agreed that he is weak in hadith. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
Q 2: A - I ask about the authenticity of the noble hadith: " My earth and my sky do not contain Me, but the heart of My believing servant contains Me "?
B - From Abu Sa'id he said:
I performed Hajj with 'Umar, and when he entered for the tawaf, he faced the Black Stone and said: I know that you do not harm or benefit, and if I had not seen the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) kissing you, I would not have kissed you. Then he kissed it. So 'Ali said: Yes, O Commander of the Faithful, it does harm and benefit. He said: How? He said: By the Book of Allah. Allah the Exalted said: "And when your Lord took from the children of Adam from their backs their descendants and made them bear witness of themselves: 'Am I not your Lord?' They said: 'Yes, we bear witness.'" Allah created Adam and wiped over his back, so He established them as His slaves and He took their covenants and pledges, and He wrote that in a tablet. And this stone had two eyes and a tongue, so Allah said to it: Open. So it opened its mouth and He put that tablet in it and said: Bear witness for whoever comes to you with the fulfillment of the covenant on the Day of Resurrection that I bear witness. I have heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: The Black Stone will be brought on the Day of Resurrection with a slippery tongue, bearing witness for whoever touches it with tawhid. So it is, O Commander of the Faithful, that it does harm and benefit. So 'Umar said: I seek refuge in Allah that I live among a people in whom I am not, O Abu al-Hasan.
