Q: Allah says in His Noble Book:[Al-An'am 6:145] to the end of the verse. It is understood from this verse that there is no animal whose eating Allah has forbidden except the pig, and this has been repeated in other verses of the Noble Qur'an. And in the Noble Hadith: . Do you not find, Your Eminence, a contradiction between what is in the Qur'an and what is in the Noble Hadith (if it is authentic)? And since the Qur'an is not abrogated except by the Qur'an, and the extent of my knowledge is that these verses have not been abrogated by other verses, and Allah knows best. Therefore, I ask Your Eminence to clarify and issue a ruling. May Allah reward you and reward us with good.
A: There is no contradiction between the verse and the hadith; because the hadith contains additional prohibitions that were not mentioned in the Noble Verse, and Allah the Exalted said:[Al-Hashr 59:7] ,
And in the other verse, Allah the Exalted says:[Al-A'raf 7:157] , and this is also not a case of abrogation as you imagined, but rather it is a case of clarification and addition of rulings that were not mentioned in the Qur'an. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
Q: Allah says in His Noble Book:
Say, "I do not find within that which was revealed to me [anything] forbidden to one who would eat it unless it be a dead animal or blood spilled out or the flesh of swine - for indeed, it is impure - or it be [that slaughtered in] disobedience, dedicated to other than Allah
Indeed, Allah has forbidden every animal with fangs, every bird with talons, and the flesh of domestic donkeys.
A: There is no contradiction between the verse and the hadith; because the hadith contains additional prohibitions that were not mentioned in the Noble Verse, and Allah the Exalted said:
And whatever the Messenger has given you - take; and what he has forbidden you - refrain from
And in the other verse, Allah the Exalted says:
makes lawful for them the good things and prohibits for them the evil
