Q1: The Master, Glorified and Exalted is He, says, in the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate:[An-Nahl 16:1]
It is known that "has come" is a past tense verb, while "do not hasten it" is a present tense verb. We ask your eminence to explain this verse so that we may understand it.
A1: The meaning of His saying, the Exalted: is: the time of the coming of the Hour is near. The past tense form was used to treat the certainty of its occurrence as if it had already occurred. The nearness of the Hour mentioned here is clarified by the Exalted and Majestic in other places, such as His saying, the Exalted: [Al-Anbya 21:1] , and His saying, the Exalted and Majestic: [Al-Qamar 54:1] . Expressing the future in the past tense to indicate the certainty of its occurrence is common in the Qur'an, such as His saying, the Exalted: [Az-Zumar 39:68] the verse. And His saying: [Al-A'raf 7:44] the verse. And His saying: [Az-Zumar 39:69-71] the verse.
Q1: The Master, Glorified and Exalted is He, says, in the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate:
The command of Allah is coming, so be not impatient for it
