Q: A man began reciting the Qur'an from the beginning of the statement of Allah the Exalted:[An-Nahl 16:9] in Surat al-Nahl, believing that the waw is introductory and the sentence is initial, and that the pronoun in the word (minha) refers to the nearest mentioned, which is the path. But another man objected to this reciter and criticized him for starting with this verse, assuming that the waw is a conjunction and the pronoun in the word (minha) refers to the place of what was mentioned at the beginning of the surah. We hope that Your Eminence will graciously express the opinion of religion and language in this matter; due to the utmost importance of its connection to the Book of Allah, Mighty and Majestic. And Allah is behind the intention, and I call upon Allah to grant you success in serving the Qur'an and the religion. Note: We request that the answer include the following: Is starting with the mentioned verse correct or not?
A: The pronoun in the statement of Allah the Exalted: refers to the path. The meaning is: that the path, from it, is moderate, straight, and leading to Allah and His Paradise, which is what the messengers brought and the books were revealed with; and from it, is that which is inclined and deviated from the truth, which is what contradicted the path of the messengers and agreed with the way of the people of misguidance. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
Q: A man began reciting the Qur'an from the beginning of the statement of Allah the Exalted:
And upon Allah is the direction of the [right] way, and among the various paths are those deviating
