Q 2: Is there a difference among the prophets in terms of the degree of knowledge, the magnitude of responsibility, and spiritual capacity?
A 2: Yes, the knowledge of the prophets and the degrees of their understanding vary. One may possess knowledge that another does not, as in the story of Musa and al-Khidr, and Dawud and Sulayman (peace be upon them all). However, this variation does not imply belittling one or showing bias toward another out of zealotry or tribalism. Rather, all the prophets and messengers are honored, despite the distinction among them, as Allah the Exalted said:[Al-Baqarah 2:253] ,
and He the Majestic and Exalted said:[Al-Isra 17:55] . As for the responsibility of conveying the messages of Allah the Exalted to people, teaching them, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong, they are all on the same level in this regard. They share in performing this great trust, but the best and most complete among them in this is our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), who is the Seal of the Prophets, as Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Ahzab 33:40] , and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3615Hasan (Darussalam) .

Those messengers - some of them We caused to exceed others. Among them were those to whom Allah spoke, and He raised some of them in degree
تِلْكَ الرُّسُلُ فَضَّلْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ مِنْهُمْ مَنْ كَلَّمَ اللَّهُ وَرَفَعَ بَعْضَهُمْ دَرَجَاتٍand He the Majestic and Exalted said:
And We have made some of the prophets exceed others
وَلَقَدْ فَضَّلْنَا بَعْضَ النَّبِيِّينَ عَلَى بَعْضٍMuhammad is not the father of [any] one of your men, but [he is] the Messenger of Allah and last of the prophets
مَا كَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ أَبَا أَحَدٍ مِنْ رِجَالِكُمْ وَلَكِنْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَخَاتَمَ النَّبِيِّينَI am the master of the children of Adam on the Day of Judgement, and I am not boasting.
أنا سيد ولد آدم يوم القيامة ولا فخر
