Q: Is it correct to say: that Allah is different from created things, and to describe Him as being pre-existing?
A: Allah, Glorious is His Majesty, is described with attributes of perfection. Thus, He, Exalted is He, is described with what He described Himself with, and what His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) described Him with:
[Ash-Shuraa 42:11] , so He, Exalted is He, is unique in His essence, His attributes, His names, and His actions; there is no counterpart to Him in any of that. The term "al-Qadim" (the Pre-existing) did not come in His names; rather, it is established that He is the First, as in His saying, the Exalted: [Al-Hadid 57:3] , and as it is established that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sahih Muslim 2713a narrated by Muslim . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing.
He is the First and the Last, the Ascendant and the Intimate, and He is, of all things, Knowing.
O Allah, Thou art the First, there is naught before Thee, and Thou art the Last and there is naught after Thee, and Thou art Evident and there is nothing above Thee, and Thou art Innermost and there is nothing beyond Thee.
