A person wishing he had not been created

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 16371 )
Q 4: I am often afflicted with severe distress regarding life and the Muslims' distance from their religion, and I say many times: "I wish I had not been born," and I call upon Allah to have mercy on me from the punishment. How can I get out of this state of distress?
A 4: It is not permissible for a person to say: "I wish I had not been created." If something he dislikes befalls him, he must be patient and seek reward, and say what the patient ones said:
Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return."إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
[Al-Baqarah 2:156]
It is also prescribed to say at that time: "Qadar Allah wa ma sha'a fa'ala" (Decree of Allah and what He willed happened); because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
cherish that which gives you benefit (in the Hereafter) and seek help from Allah and do not lose heart, and if anything (in the form of trouble) comes to you, don't say: If I had not done that, it would not have happened so and so, but say: Allah did that what He had ordained to do and your" if" opens the (gate) for the Satan.
Sahih Muslim 2664
narrated by Muslim in (his Sahih). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
