Killing Ants
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 8122 )
Q: Ants have spread in our country to an astonishing degree, leaving us no food or clothing that they do not destroy, in addition to the fact that they harm our bodies. Is it permissible for us to kill them, and by what means should we kill them? Is this a trial for us, and how do we ward it off?
A 1 : If the situation is as described, it is permissible for you to kill the harmful ones by any means other than fire. There is no doubt that this is part of the trial and test that calls for taking heed and repenting to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
