Friendship with a Christian

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of fatwa number 80521
Q 4: Is it permissible for a Muslim to take a Christian as a friend, to walk with him, visit him, study with him, and the like?
A 4: It is permissible for a Muslim to deal with a non-belligerent disbeliever with kindness, to reciprocate his kindness with kindness, and to exchange benefits and gifts with him, but he must not form a bond of loyalty, affection, and love with him.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
