Opening the neighbor's door without his permission

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 7497 )
Q: If something or a child falls into the neighbor's house , and this neighbor's house is old and contains items that are not used, is it permissible for me to open the door without his permission to rescue the child, especially since the neighbor's house is abandoned and he does not live in it,
and the neighbor lives in a residence far from where the child fell? Please inform us.

A : If the situation is as described, and the one who fell is a child who cannot get out of the house except by opening the door, then it is permissible to open it even without the owner's permission, in order to save the child from perishing. However, it is recommended that a trustworthy and reliable person be present with the one opening the door, to ward off suspicion from the one who opened the door, and as a precaution to preserve the owner's belongings in the house. If what fell is an item of great value and there is a fear of it remaining in the place where it fell, the same ruling applies. As for if what fell is an item that is not at risk or is trivial, such as a ball, it should be left until the owner of the house gives permission. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
