The second question of Fatwa No. ( 14284 )
Q 2: What is your opinion of a man who comes to a gathering where there are many people, then proceeds to a place he prefers and stands up the person who was in that place even though that person does not want to move, knowing that this man is not a guest, but one of the regular attendees of this place, and he has done this several times a day, and the reason for this is that he is of a higher rank than them?
A 2 : A Muslim should sit wherever his place in the gathering ends, and he should not stand up anyone from their place to sit in it; because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih Muslim 2177b
And that was his (peace and blessings be upon him) concern for the purity of hearts among people. As for the owner of the house, he has the most right to his place. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

Ibn 'Umar reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: No person should ask another person to stand at his place and then he should himself sit there, but he should simply say: Make room and accommodate.
