A vow to go to Makkah and pray in the Haram for a month

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 21118 )
Q: I vowed to visit Makkah and pray in al-Masjid al-Haram for a month due to severe illness , and by the grace of Allah, I am now well. Is it permissible for me to go there for ten days the first time, and then the rest separately for ten days, then ten days? Because I cannot spend the month in these days; because my children are small and cannot take me, and I
also cannot go. Should I fast or feed people instead of going to Makkah for a month, or should I postpone it until my children grow up and I go? Is it permissible to postpone the vow, or is it obligatory to hasten the vow? And I am afraid that I will die and I have not spent this month in Makkah

A: If you intended the month to be consecutive, you must keep it consecutive by staying in Makkah for thirty consecutive days. If you did not intend consecutiveness, there is no harm in performing it in Makkah in separate parts. As for postponement, nothing is required of you in it unless you intended it to be immediate; in that case, you owe an oath expiation along with fulfilling the vow as we mentioned. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
