Q 3: There is no doubt in the disbelief of the worshippers of graves and the righteous among the Companions and others , and of those who call upon other than Allah the Exalted. But what is my position toward one who claims this claim and argues for it, and acknowledges the name of the sect whose creed is as mentioned above? Do I greet him with the Islamic greeting? Do I return his greeting, or do I disavow him, reject him, and warn people of his danger? Guide me to the correct course in this matter.
A 3: It is obligatory to call the aforementioned individuals to Allah, and to clarify the misguidance they are upon, while advising them sincerely, so that perhaps Allah may guide them. If they respond, praise be to Allah; otherwise, boycott them, do not initiate the greeting to them, and do not return their greeting; because
Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, said:[Al-Mumtahanah 60:4] And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

There has already been for you an excellent pattern in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, "Indeed, we are disassociated from you and from whatever you worship other than Allah. We have denied you, and there has appeared between us and you animosity and hatred forever until you believe in Allah alone
قَدْ كَانَتْ لَكُمْ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ فِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَالَّذِينَ مَعَهُ إِذْ قَالُوا لِقَوْمِهِمْ إِنَّا بُرَآءُ مِنْكُمْ وَمِمَّا تَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ كَفَرْنَا بِكُمْ وَبَدَا بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمُ الْعَدَاوَةُ وَالْبَغْضَاءُ أَبَدًا حَتَّى تُؤْمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَحْدَهُ
