Q 2: What is the limit of loyalty and disavowal for Muslims who are companions of sin , such as singing, shaving the beard, smoking, snorting, letting the garment hang below the ankles, and others? Is it obligatory to boycott them after they do not heed the advice?
A 2: It is not permissible to mix with the companions of apparent sins except with the intention of advising them, if the advice has an effect on them. It is obligatory to love them to the extent of the faith in them, and to hate them to the extent of the sins in them. If they do not accept the advice, the prescribed course is to boycott them until they repent. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
