The second and third questions of Fatwa No. ( 19219 )
Q 2: Why did Allah make shirk (associating partners with Allah) abhorrent , and threaten the mushrik (one who associates partners with Allah) with no forgiveness and eternal abode in the Fire?
A 2: Allah made shirk (associating partners with Allah) abhorrent and threatened the mushrik (one who associates partners with Allah) with no forgiveness and eternal abode in the Fire if he dies upon it; because it is the greatest sin by which Allah is disobeyed, and the greatest thing from which Allah has prohibited. For this reason, He, Exalted is He, informed us that He does not forgive it for its doer if he dies upon his shirk (associating partners with Allah) and does not repent from it, and that the doer's deeds are nullified, and that no one is more misguided than its doer. Allah the Exalted said:[An-Nisa 4:48] , and He, the Exalted, said: [Luqman 31:13] , so whoever associates with Allah anyone other than Him has equated the Creator with the created, and made the created an equal to Allah, directing to him types of worship that he does not deserve except Allah; for this reason, Allah threatened its doer with eternal abode in the Fire. Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Ma'idah 5:72]
, so Allah revealed regarding that His saying, the Exalted: [Al-Furqan 25:68]

Allah the Exalted said:
Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who associates others with Allah has certainly fabricated a tremendous sin.
Indeed, association [with him] is great injustice."
Indeed, he who associates others with Allah - Allah has forbidden him Paradise, and his refuge is the Fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers.
And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said when he was asked, "Which sin is the greatest?" He said: "That you make an equal for Allah while He created you." It was said: "Then what?" He said: "That you kill your child for fear that it will eat with you." It was said: "Then what?" He said: "That you commit zina (unlawful sexual intercourse) with your neighbor's wife."
And those who do not invoke with Allah another deity or kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse
