Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q3: What is the difference between the mushrik and the munafiq .
A3: The mushrik is: one who directs some of the worship to other than Allah, and declares that, such as the worshippers of graves and the like, and this is shirk (associating partners with Allah), and nothing of tawhid (the oneness of Allah) remains with its owner, and this mushrik is the one whom Allah has forbidden Paradise, and his abode is the Fire, and Allah does not forgive him his shirk if he dies upon it and does not repent from it; due to the saying of Allah the Exalted:
[An-Nisa 4:48] And His saying the Exalted: [Al-Ma'idah 5:72] As for the munafiq, the creedal hypocrisy, he is the one who displays Islam and conceals disbelief, such as denying the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) and hating him, or denying and hating some of what he brought, or rejoicing in the decline of the religion of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) and hating his victory and the like. The owner of this hypocrisy is eternally in the Fire, and is among the people of the lowest depth of the Fire if he dies upon that, as Allah the Exalted said: [An-Nisa 4:145] And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.

Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who associates others with Allah has certainly fabricated a tremendous sin.
Indeed, he who associates others with Allah - Allah has forbidden him Paradise, and his refuge is the Fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers.
Indeed, the hypocrites will be in the lowest depths of the Fire - and never will you find for them a helper -
