Q 2: In slaughtering sheep, should the throat and the brain be cut in one moment, or should the throat be cut and then left until it dies, and then the brain be cut? Most of us here cut the throat and the brain at the same time. Please inform us, may Allah reward you.
A 2: Only the throat, the esophagus, and the two carotid arteries are cut, and nothing else. The rest is delayed until there is no movement in the slaughtered animal, and then the vertebrae of the neck are cut. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
