Q: One day, I had decided to hold a wedding feast,
and I brought in a cook to prepare the food for my guests. Suddenly, I was surprised to see that cook slaughtering with his left hand while reciting the name of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and the obligatory takbir prescribed by the Shari'ah: (In the name of Allah, and Allah is the Greatest). I called out to him: "It is not done this way." He said to me: "I have sought permission from the scholars, and they have permitted me to slaughter with the left hand .
A: There is no harm in that, but slaughtering with the right hand is better if that is possible. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
