The basis for this is what is established in the two Sahihs, from Rafi' ibn Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him), , but if he catches it alive, he should slaughter it at the slaughter site where possible; due to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding game: . The hadith. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
