The second question of Fatwa No. ( 7538 )
Q 2: If a thief enters your house at night, whether armed or unarmed, is it permissible to kill him or not? Please inform us, and may you have abundant thanks.
A 2 : It is permissible to repel the aggressor, such as the attacker or the thief, with the minimum means necessary to repel him,
and if it is possible to repel him by warning and threatening, then it is not permissible to use anything beyond that, such as beating, killing, or other means. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
