Hunting with a Rifle

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 7415 )
Q: I am an avid hunter, and I have heard that in (Mukhtasar al-Fatawa al-Misriyyah) on page 520, it is stated that hunting with a rifle is not permissible except for what has been ritually slaughtered. Since I cannot reach the game except when it is dead, I ask for clarification of the matter, and what is the solution in this case if eating it is forbidden? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good.
A: If one shoots at game with a rifle and mentions the name of Allah, and the shot hits the game, then if he finds it alive, he should ritually slaughter it. If it dies from the shot, it is lawful and its consumption is permitted.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
